The Chaparral biome is found in a little bit of most continents - the west coast of the United States, the west coast of South america, the area of South Africa, the western tip of Australia and the coastal areas of the Mediterranean.
The lay of the land - The Chaparral biome has many different types of terrain, for some examples are flat plains, rocky hills and mountain slopes. Chaparral areas are sometimes used in film for the "wild west".
Chaparral is characterized as being a very hot and usually about 10 degrees Celsius. Whilst the summer weather holds out to stay around 40 degrees Celsius. Fires and droughts are very common in these areas of land, due to the heat and dryness.
